I saw Dr. Johnson in the 90’s for a rare cornea disease, and he was amazing then. I moved away from TX for over a decade, and every person who tried to treat me or fit me with contacts since I left had been a complete disappointment, telling me that nothing could be done to help me with my vision. I recently had an opportunity to move back to DFW for a new job, and I took it immediately. One of the main reasons was I knew I’d get to see Dr. Johnson again. He is the only one I would trust with evaluating my condition, and trying everything possible to help me. I am thrilled to say that he found options where other doctors found none. I have been going to Dr. Johnson for over 10 years, I was first diagnosed with Keratoconus when I was 15 and was referred to him by an ophthalmologist. Dr. Johnson is a Keratoconus specialist. I tried to see another doctor about 4 or 5 years ago to get a new pair of glasses (I was living somewhere else) but they were never able to fit me for glasses because of the strange nature of Keratoconus (It takes patience and the knowledge of the nature of Keratoconus to be able to find the correct prescription). After that terrible experience I went back to Dr. Johnson and was able to get glasses that helped tremendously. I have also been wearing Gas Permeable lenses for 10 years which have helped me see better than 20/20 and helped slow the progression of Keratoconus. Now I am awaiting a clinical trial for Collagen Cross-linking or CXL. The treatments slows the progression of Keratoconus and also improves vision in over 60% of the [patients] treated. After the procedure I plan to be fitted by Dr. Johnson for soft lenses for better comfort. All-in-all I would never go to another doctor for my eyes. I trust Dr. Johnson and his staff to give the best possible service to their clients.

I’ve been going to Dr. Johnson for over 10 years, I have Keratoconus, and I know that Dr. Johnson is one of the only doctors in the area that specialize in Keratoconus patients, they use sophisticated optical equipment specifically for Keratoconus patients, also when being fitted for contacts they will have you come back for as many follow up visits as it takes to ensure a proper fitting. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson.

My wife and I have been using Dr. Johnson for several years. We were referred to the doctor by friends who still use his services. He accepts many kinds of insurance and that also led us to his practice. His services are professional and you can discuss your personal situation with him completely. He will do everything to assist you in seeing better. He also keeps an electronic record of the health of your eyes and eh can detect any abnormalities from exam to exam. He has some of the latest screening equipment. He has glasses and lens available on site and with ordering we have always found the delay short.

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I’ve ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All of my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was very easy to locate. I didn’t have any trouble finding it at all. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I’ve ever seen.

Very pleased with the service here. The staff is very helpful in helping you try on glasses and pick out one that fits your face well. I went in after doing some research with a specific frame in mind and the price here was very reasonable. I’ll definitely go back next time I need glasses.
